Miranda N. Prather has been working with horses for over 40 years now. She has worked with equines from diverse breeds and backgrounds. Miranda studied equine massage under Betty Lindquist, theauthor of numerous articles and two booklets on massage and kinesio-therapy as applied to horses, including Therapeutic Exercises for Performance Horses, which receive and award from the Delta Society, a national organization which promotes better understanding between humans and animals.
In addition to her studies in equine massage, Miranda has continued her education adding studies in equine anatomy, bits and saddle fitting, hoof trimming, equine nutrition and equine behavior among others. Miranda continues to be a lifelong student of the horse and looks to serve in helping horses heal through educated massage. She currently has Cool Hand Luke as her equine partner, a part Argentine Criollo, part Mountain Pleasure Horse and part Morgan Horse who has survived the kill pen twice. |
